Packaging
Fonio is light, dry, and shelf-stable, which means it travels well — and we keep our packaging simple and as low-impact as we can. Each 500 g pack is sealed in a food-grade resealable pouch and shipped in a recyclable cardboard mailer or box, with paper-based void fill. No plastic peanuts, no unnecessary layers. Up to two packs fit in a standard mailbox-sized parcel; larger orders ship to a pickup point.
Customs & Duties (international orders)
Orders shipped outside the EU/EEA — including Svalbard — may be subject to import duties or VAT collected by your local customs authority. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our shipping cost.
If Something Goes Wrong
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or doesn't show up within the estimated window, please contact us at info@telliventures.com within 14 days and we'll make it right — replacement, refund, or reshipment, whichever you prefer.
Order Cutoff
Orders placed before 14:00 CET on weekdays are typically dispatched the same day. Orders placed after that, on weekends, or on Norwegian public holidays will go out the next business day.
This purchase is regulated by the standard sales terms below for consumer purchases of goods over the Internet. Such purchases are governed principally by the Norwegian Contracts Act, Consumer Purchases Act, Marketing Control Act, Cancellation Act, and E-commerce Act, available at lovdata.no. These laws give the consumer mandatory rights. These Terms shall not be understood as limiting the consumer's statutory rights but set out the parties' main rights and obligations.
These Terms are based on the standard sales conditions recommended by the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet), adapted for Telli Ventures AS.
1. The agreement
The agreement consists of these Terms, the information given in the order solution, and any specifically agreed terms. In the event of conflict, what has been specifically agreed prevails, provided this does not conflict with mandatory law. The agreement is supplemented by relevant statutory provisions for consumer purchases.
2. The parties
Seller: Telli Ventures AS Hagavegen 6, 9007 Tromsø, Norway Email: info@telliventures.com Organisation number: 931 920 391
The seller is referred to below as "we", "us" or "Telli". The buyer is referred to as "the buyer" or "the consumer".
3. Price
The total price the buyer pays includes all taxes (15% VAT for foodstuffs in Norway) and shipping costs. Additional costs not communicated before purchase shall not be borne by the buyer. All prices are in Norwegian kroner (NOK), inclusive of VAT unless otherwise specified.
4. Formation of the agreement
The agreement is binding when the buyer has sent the order to the seller. It is not binding if there has been a typing or input error in the seller's offer or the buyer's order, and the other party realised or should have realised this.
5. Payment
The seller may demand payment from the time the goods are sent. We accept Vipps, credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Alipay.
Payment is processed through Stripe. We do not store card details. For card payments, we may reserve the amount on order; the card is charged when the goods are dispatched.
When paying with Vipps, the agreement between the buyer and Vipps MobilePay AS applies in addition to these Terms. The same applies to Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Alipay with their respective providers.
6. Delivery
Delivery is completed when the buyer, or their representative, takes physical possession of the goods. If no delivery time is stated in the order, we shall deliver without undue delay and at the latest 30 days after the order. Detailed shipping information is available on our [Shipping Information] page.
7. Risk for the goods
The risk passes to the buyer when the buyer, or their representative, has received the goods.
8. Right of withdrawal (angrerett)
Unless exempt, the buyer may cancel the purchase under the Cancellation Act (angrerettloven). The buyer must notify the seller within 14 days from when the period begins. The period includes all calendar days; if it ends on a Saturday or holiday, it extends to the next working day.
The notification should be in writing (cancellation form, email, or letter) to info@telliventures.com. The cancellation period begins the day after the goods are received (or after the first shipment for ongoing subscriptions). If the seller has not informed about the right of withdrawal before the agreement, the period extends to 12 months.
When using the right, the goods must be returned without undue delay and at the latest 14 days after notification. The buyer covers direct return costs unless otherwise agreed. The seller cannot impose fees for use of the right of withdrawal. The buyer may inspect the goods responsibly without losing the right; testing beyond what is reasonable may make the buyer liable for reduced value.
The seller refunds the purchase price without undue delay and at the latest 14 days from notification. The seller may withhold payment until receiving the goods or proof of return shipment.
Important — exceptions: Under angrerettloven § 22, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods sealed for health or hygiene reasons if the seal has been broken (this includes our fonio packaging once opened), or to goods inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery. Sealed and unopened packs may be returned within 14 days under the standard right.
9. Delay and non-delivery
If the seller does not deliver, or delivers late, and this is not due to the buyer, the buyer may, under chapter 5 of the Consumer Purchases Act, withhold the price, demand performance, terminate the agreement, and/or claim compensation. Notifications should be in writing.
The buyer may demand performance unless an obstacle makes it impossible or causes the seller disproportionate cost. If the seller does not deliver after a reasonable additional period, the buyer may terminate. Termination may be immediate if the seller refuses to deliver or if delivery time was decisive. Compensation may be claimed for losses unless the seller proves the delay was due to an obstacle outside their control.
10. Defective goods
If the goods are defective, the buyer must notify the seller within a reasonable time after the defect is or should have been discovered. Notice within 2 months is always timely. The complaint deadline is 2 years from receipt, or 5 years if the goods are intended to last significantly longer.
Under chapter 6 of the Consumer Purchases Act, the buyer may withhold the price, choose between rectification and redelivery, demand a price reduction, terminate, and/or claim compensation. Complaints should be sent in writing to info@telliventures.com.
The seller may object to rectification or redelivery if impossible or causing unreasonable cost. The seller is entitled to no more than two attempts at rectifying the same defect. Price reduction is set proportionally. Termination is available if the defect is not insignificant.
11. Seller's rights on buyer's default
If the buyer does not pay or fulfil their obligations, and this is not due to the seller, the seller may, under chapter 9 of the Consumer Purchases Act, withhold the goods, demand performance, terminate, and/or claim compensation. The seller may also claim late-payment interest, debt collection fees, and a reasonable fee for uncollected goods.
12. Warranty
A warranty given by the seller or producer adds to the buyer's mandatory statutory rights and does not limit complaints under sections 9 and 10.
13. Personal data
Telli Ventures AS is the data controller. We collect and store only the personal data necessary to fulfil the agreement, and only disclose data when necessary to fulfil the agreement or required by law. See our [Privacy Policy] for more.
14. Dispute resolution
Complaints should be directed to the seller within a reasonable time. The parties shall attempt amicable resolution. Otherwise, the buyer may contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for mediation: +47 23 400 600 or forbrukertilsynet.no. The European Commission's complaint portal is available at ec.europa.eu/odr, particularly for buyers resident in another EU country.
